Were you ever taught how to care for your sewing machine? If not, you’re in good company—and this class is for you!
I developed this hands-on class to teach the basic daily and monthly care that keeps your machine sewing smoothly between annual professional services.
Bring your sewing machine and work on it during class. I’ll provide individual guidance so you can learn how to clean and care for your particular machine.
You’ll learn:
-
Daily and monthly cleaning and care routines.
-
Where lint collects and how to safely remove it.
-
What you can maintain at home and what to leave to your service technician.
-
How to choose the right needle for your fabric and project—and when to replace it.
-
How different threads affect your stitching.
-
Proper threading and bobbin placement.
-
Basic troubleshooting for common problems, including skipped stitches and thread breaks.
A cleaning kit is included, so you’ll have supplies to get started and use at home.
No maintenance experience needed! You’ll leave with a cleaner machine, a practical care routine, and more confidence for your next sewing project.
