Every artistic creation—whether it is a painting or a quilt—is made piece by piece, layer by layer. Moments of challenge often arise throughout the process, but no doubt you have experienced that special feeling when it all seems to come together. For this reason, my mantra has been that an artist is always only One Layer Away from magic.
